i just made my first homemade hummus last week – i also used some tahini in it; are you not able to b/c of glutens, or you don’t find them necessary?

Sometimes I use tahini but I prefer to make it without, I think I may have a slight allergy to it. My tongue swells a little and hurts. Good for oyu making your own hummus- what is great is that you can add anything you want. I have made lemon hummus, spinach hummas and green olive hummus just to name a few. Did you like what you made?

i did!!! i added WAY too much garlic (if there is such a thing)
. we did the normal batch with garlic, then i roasted a red pepper on the stove & made a batch with that blended in. jen and i literally had to put the hummus/pita chips away because we were stuffing ourselves silly, it was so good! (i used the pioneer woman’s base recipe)

btw – have you ever roasted a red pepper on the stove? i feel like it smelled like i was smoking something illegal in the house….
